How do I prepare for and maintain a beautiful custom airbrush spray tan?

Preparation for Your Airbrush Spray Tan Session:
- Shower, shave, and exfoliate your skin before your session to remove any dead skin cells for an even application.
- Avoid using oil-based body scrubs (Norvell Exfoliator shower gel is recommended).
- Skip soap bars—use a basic body wash instead.
- Do not apply any lotions, makeup, perfumes, or deodorants before your session.
- Wear loose-fitting, dark clothing and flip-flops after your session to avoid any smudging or staining.
- Remove all jewelry prior to the spray tan.
- Underwear or swimwear is up to you, depending on your comfort level and desired tan lines.
- The tanning solution is water-soluble and will wash out of most fabrics.
- Protect your vehicle’s interior by bringing a towel to cover the seat.

After Your Airbrush Spray Tan Session:
- Rinse your hands (both tops and bottoms) thoroughly about 2-3 hours after the session.
- Keep your hands off your skin until your first shower; apply lotion to your palms and wear long sleeves or pajama bottoms while sleeping.
- Avoid sweating or heavy physical activity until your first shower (minimum 10–12 hours; ideally wait until the next day).

First Shower After Your Airbrush Spray Tan:
- Expect to look a bit darker at first—this is normal.
- Avoid scrubbing with a loofah. Take a gentle, warm shower with a sulfate-free body wash and pat your skin dry.
- You'll see some cosmetic bronzers rinse off, but you’ll be left with a beautiful, natural-looking tan.
- Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize to ensure an even fade and longer-lasting results.
